Rebound HammersÂ measure the surface hardness of the concrete surface. When the plunger of the rebound hammer is pressed against the surface, the spring controlled mass rebounds. The extent of such rebound is an indication of the surface hardness. The surface hardness can then be correlated to the in-situ compressive strength of concrete close to the surface.

Calibration Anvil ensures continued test accuracy. Hammers should be periodically checked to determine correct performance.
